TWO teenagers have been left "badly shaken" after being robbed by a gang in Hamilton yesterday.

At around 7.15pm, the 17 and 18 year olds were walking in Douglas Park Lane when they were approached by a group of around five male youths, aged between 16 and 21.

The thugs threatened the boys with violence and robbed them of their personal belongings, before making off in the direction of Hamilton Accademical Football Ground.

One was wearing a blue jacket and grey jogging bottoms and the others were wearing dark clothing with face masks. Two of them had bikes.

Detective Constable Steven Totten from Cambuslang CID said: “Members of the public who were passing by came to the assistance of the victims, who were left badly shaken by what happened.

“This type of aggressive and intimidating behaviour is not acceptable and I am appealing to anyone, who can assist us in identifying the individuals involved, to come forward.
