When you next visit St Andrews, you must check out HATCH, a stylish new restaurant with a varied menu of modern cuisine with an avant-garde twist. It specialises in small plates, excellent wines and creative cocktails. I tried their ox cheek, and the thought of it still makes me salivate.

Neighbourgood Market, Edinburgh
The contactless open-air market returned to Stockbridge this week with a new residency at Edinburgh Accies' playing fields. Bringing together a collection of the finest food, drink and craft traders, the family-friendly market will run weekly (Wed-Sun) until July 11.
