TWO West Fife neighbourhoods recorded six positive coronavirus cases in the last seven days.

The map published by Public Health Scotland shows hotspots in the area between June 6 and June 12.

Between those dates, there were a total of 237 cases in Fife – 51 more than last week.

Dalgety Bay West and Hillend was placed in the category for places with 200-399 cases per 100,000 population with six cases being detected.

Dunfermline Bellyeoman and Townhill also had six cases and was in the 100-199 cases per 100,000 population category. Also in this section was Cairneyhill and Crombie (3 cases), Kelty East (4 cases), Oakley, Comrie and Blairhall (4 cases) and Saline and Gowkhall (5 cases).

In the 50-99 cases per 100,000 population category was Dunfermline Duloch South where three cases were recorded.

All other neighbourhoods in Dunfermline and West Fife recorded suppressed figures with under three cases.

Where a local area has fewer than three positive cases, the actual number of cases and population rate has been suppressed to help protect patient confidentiality and to reduce instances where very small numbers of cases drive high rates.
