ScotRail have suspended train services through Troon until at least the end of Sunday.

Emergency services are still at the scene at Troon station following a fire that has seen smoke billowing across the town.

Crews were called to the scene just before 1pm this afternoon, with fire crews descending on the scene to tackle the blaze.

The fire has caused major disruption on Saturday afternoon for several services on the West coast of Scotland.

ScotRail have now confirmed in the last few minutes that the line in both directions from Troon remains closed and will continue to be so until at least the end of Sunday.

Glasgow - Largs / Ardrossan services have now starting running.

However, Glasgow - Ayr services remain suspended while ScotRail work to get trains and crews in place to run a Glasgow - Kilwinning service.

The train operator has nine buses out working through out Ayrshire and have requested a further six. Stagecoach West are also accepting tickets.
