Jet2 flight to Edinburgh declares mid-flight emergency
A flight travelling to the Scottish Capital has declared a mid-flight emergency this afternoon.
The Jet2 Boeing 737 aircraft which was travelling from Alicante to Edinburgh issued a 7700 alert while flying near the Scottish Borders on Monday afternoon.
The plane departed from the Spanish airport at 2:04pm on Monday afternoon.
The details of the emergency are currently unknown.
The Herald has contacted Jet2 for comment.
