A MOTORCYCLIST has died following a fatal crash on a busy Scots road.

At around 3pm on Monday October 25, the 43-year-old rider was involved in a collision with an SUV vehicle on the A93 in Aberdeenshire.

Police today revealed the male rider of the motorcycle was sadly pronounced dead on the scene by emergency services.

The man was riding a white and orange KTM motorcycle on the road between Drumoak and Peterculter when he collided with a blue Toyota Rav4 car near the Drum Castle junction.

Police are now appealing to the public for information surrounding the incident.

Sergeant Chris Smith of the North East Road Policing Unit said:  “Our thoughts are with the family and friends of the man who has died in this crash.

“Our enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances and I would urge anyone who may have witnessed the incident or who has any other information to get in touch.

“We would also be keen to speak to anyone who may have dashcam footage from that stretch of road shortly before 3pm on Monday afternoon.
