CAMERON NORRIE has sealed his place in the Paris Masters Round of 16 after a straight sets victory over Reilly Opelka.

The GB athlete cruised to a 6-3, 6-4 win over the United States tennis star in the French capital this afternoon.

Norrie, whose father is Scottish, is seeded 10th in the tournament and has made light work of his route to the final 16.

He first beat Federico Delbonis, only dropping three games in the straight sets victory before today's win over Opelka.

The win sets up a Round of 16 tie with Taylor Fritz as Norrie continues his quest for an ATP Finals place.

Norrie would be guaranteed a place in the finals if he secured a huge win in Paris, but a run to the latter stages could be enough.

Casper Ruud and Jannik Sinner are currently the two in position to make the finals in Turin later this year.
