QPR chairman Amit Bhatia has liked a Tweet blasting Michael Beale as his move to Rangers looks likely to go through sooner rather than later.

Beale has already turned down the opportunity to manage Premier League side Wolves but a flit back to Ibrox to take the reins looks to have been too attractive to turn down for the highly-regarded 42-year-old coach.

He was a major influence in the Steven Gerrard era that halted Celtic's domination of the Scottish game, with some insiders branding him the brains behind the scenes.

He departed Govan with the Scouser as they moved to Aston Villa but soon set out on his own at London club QPR.

He's only been in charge there for a matter of months but his work has attracted significant admiring glances.

Bhatia was delighted at his head coach's loyalty in remaining despite Premier League advances but that appears to have dissipated amid a seemingly inevitable move to Ibrox as he moved to like a tweet criticising his manager.

The post read: "Actually low that Michael Beale, who talks very high (well thought he did) speaks highly of the owners, fans and what he is doing at QRR then sees Rangers offer him a job and does a runner, deletes Twitter – the lot!"
