A new Bees Knees pub has opened in East Lancashire and its interiors look stunning.

The Bees Knees, a pub chain with several sites in East Lancashire, has taken over former The Millstone pub on Bridge Street, Darwen.

Owners, Philip James and John Ashley, have spent the last few months giving the venue a £60,000 makeover, rebranding it and transforming it to match the ‘Bees Knees aesthetic'.

Speaking to the Lancashire Telegraph back in February, Philip said the team always wanted to open venue in Darwen.

He said: “It’s going to feel like a proper sports bar, with botanical décor that will look great in an Instagram picture.

"It will appeal to cocktail-lovers thanks to the range of different drinks we provide.

“Those with sporting interests will also enjoy the venue as we will be showing live sports.”
