BBC reporter Rob MacLean was left floundering after a misworded question led to Ange Postecoglou taking light-hearted umbrage.

After referring to South Korea coach Jürgen Klinsmann's attendance the game, the veteran broadcaster attempted to link the German to a question about whether Postecoglou had yet tried the famous Kilmarnock pie.

Postecoglou's short response had McLean scrambling to clarify in a mirth-inducing piece of radio.

MacLean said: "He doesn't look like a Killie pie man, I don't know if he's sampled it yet. Have you sampled yours yet?"

Postecoglou replied with deadpan delivery: "So you're saying I do look like a Killie pie man?"

MacLean, clearly concerned, flapped: "No, not at all. I didn't say that, don't take me out of context now!"

A laughing Postecoglou replied: "Okay, alright. Well, I did say I was going to try one so..."

The pastry-encrusted meaty delicacy is widely acknowledged as one of football's most delicious snacks, with Kilmarnock known throughout Scotland as perhaps the finest example.
