The first episode of The Herald's Think Dementia podcast series is now online

Campaign lead and host Caroline Wilson discusses the headline aim of our Think Dementia campaign - a call for free care for people with advanced-stage dementia.

The podcast explores the cost of caring for dementia patients in Scotland with an expert panel, bringing insightful analysis and opinion to the debate on Fair Dementia Care in Scotland.

Chief executive of Alzheimer's Scotland Henry Simmons lends his opinion to the first episode, alongside deputy director of the Alzheimer's Scotland centre for policy and practice at the University of the West of Scotland Dr Margaret Brown.

The trio are also joined by carer Joanna Body, who cared for her mother who was suffering from the advanced stages of dementia.
