I COULD not agree more with the letters from Stuart McIntosh and Robert Gemmell (December 10) regarding big-money projects allocated to Edinburgh.

The Government is so obsessed by independence that it has lost it senses. Under pressure to provide a location for the film studio to enhance its Scottish credentials it has completely forgotten to think clearly that this project should be anywhere but Edinburgh where its citizens are burdened by congestion, lack of affordable housing and shortages of skilled labour.

For goodness sake let’s get this project somewhere that needs it.
