SCOTLAND has recorded 32 coronavirus deaths and 2,355 new cases in the past 24 hours, the latest Scottish Government figures show.

The death toll under this daily measure – of people who first tested positive for the virus within the previous 28 days – now stands at 9,032.

The daily test positivity rate is 7.4 per cent.

A total of 917 people were in hospital with recently confirmed Covid, up 27 in 24 hours, with 58 patients in intensive care, up two.

So far, 4,297,028 people have received their first dose of a Covid vaccination and 3,886,176 have had a second.
