GLASGOW is set for a full city closure on Friday as protest routes have been revealed with multiple streets shut for the march.

More than 20 roads will shut as early as 9am for Fridays COP26 protest as route confirmation is revealed for the largest climate demonstration so far.

This Friday, a 'Fridays for Future' march will take place, starting in Kelvingrove Park and travelling through the city towards George Square.

Protesters will be congregating from the early hours of the morning, but the march is not set to get underway until 11am.

The route will see activists start inside Kelvingrove Park and advance down Kelvin Way. From there, they will march down Sauchiehall street, onto St Vincent Street, turn left onto Pitt Street and continue down West George Street towards George Square where a rally is set to take place.
