Livingston have signed David Luongo and Anthony Andreu on one-year contracts with the help of John Collins' French connection.

Striker Luongo and midfielder Andreu played in the second tier of Swiss football with Stade Nyonnais last season but earned deals with the first division side having impressed manager John Hughes on trial.

Hughes said: "I'm absolutely delighted with the signing of these two lads. They were brought to our attention through connections that John Collins had in France, so we invited them over to have a look and see if they could add to what we have here already, which is shaping up to be quite special. The boys have shown enormous desire and willingness to work and develop, and both have tremendous attitude."
