RADOSLAW CIERZNIAK is close to sealing a return to his native Poland with Podbeskidzie.

The former Dundee United keeper left Tannadice recently after three years as No.1 and had been attracting the attention of English outfit Wigan.

But big-spending Podbeskidzie are now leasing the chase for the 32-year-old as manager Dariusz Kubicki closes in on his signature.

Podbeskidzie finished 10th in the Polish Ekstraklasa last season and aim to become more of a force in the top flight next season.

Cierzniak said: "We are talking and getting quite close. They are an ambitious club so we will see what happens."
