CELTIC extended their lead at the summit of the Premiership table to seven points on Wednesday night with a 4-0 win against Ross County.

The Hoops, who also have a game in hand over second-placed Aberdeen, capitalised on the Dons' surprise defeat to Hamilton Accies on Tuesday to stretch their advantage at the top.

Rangers fought back from an excellent Blair Alston opener to record a draw against St Johnstone at Ibrox, while Kilmarnock, Inverness and Partick Thistle all grabbed vital wins.
