CELTIC forward Luke Donnelly has joined Greenock Morton on an emergency loan and could feature as soon as tonight for his new club.

The 21-year-old spent the first half of the season on loan at Alloa, where he scored once in nine appearances for the League One outfit.

His move to Jim Duffy's side was confirmed on Tuesday, with the club revealing Donnelly is free to feature in tonight's league clash with Raith Rovers.

"We are pleased to confirm that Celtic forward Luke Donnelly’s emergency loan has this afternoon been approved by the SFA," read a club statement.

"The 21-year-old, who has been assigned squad number 19, is now available for tonight’s rearranged Ladbrokes Championship fixture against Raith Rovers."
