BOBBY MADDEN has been named as referee for the Scottish Cup final between Aberdeen and Celtic

The 38-year-old will take charge of the clash at Hampden Park on Saturday 28 May, assisted by Frank Connor and Graeme Stewart.

John McKendrick has been appointed as the fourth official, with Steven McLean and Nick Walsh acting as additional assistant referees.

It will be the first time Madden has taken charge of the Scottish Cup final, although he oversaw the 2015 League Cup final between the Hoops and Dundee United.

Madden has refereed 29 games this season, including Celtic's 4-1 win over the Dons at Parkhead on 27 August and the Bhoys' 1-1 draw with Rangers on 12 March.
