NIR BITTON believes Celtic can get a result against Paris Saint-Germain in France on Wednesday if they can eradicate defensive errors.

Bitton is expected to play at centre half against Unai Emery’s team in the Parc des Princes after helping Brendan Rodgers’s side keep a clean sheet in the 1-0 win over Ross County on Saturday.

The midfielder insisted he would enjoy the run-out if he is preferred to Jozo Simunovic – who has not featured since the win over Anderlecht in Belgium at the end of September – and believes Celtic can ensure participation in European football past Christmas.

“In every game you go out there and try to get the best result that you can,” said Bitton.

“PSG are better than Celtic and they showed that in the first game [they won 5-0 at Parkhead back in September] but we need to go to Paris and try?

“You never know, maybe we’ll be in the Europa League on Wednesday.”
