CELTIC this evening announced they have signed Vakoun Issouf Bayo on a four year contract subject to the Ivorian striker passing a medical and being granted a work permit.

Bayo, who has cost the Scottish champions a fee in the region of £2 million, will join from Slovakian club Dunajska Streda, where he has scored 18 goals in 23 matches this season. The 21-year-old spent two years in Tunisia prior to moving to Streda.

The Parkhead club have already brought Oliver Burke of West Bromwich Albion and Timothy Weah of Paris Saint-Germain in on loan deals until the end of the season during the January transfer window.
