ALLAN McGregor, the Rangers goalkeeper, will find out today if he is to face retrospective disciplinary action for his challenge on Lewis Ferguson, the Aberdeen midfielder, at Pittodrie on Wednesday night.
Meanwhile, Alfredo Morelos's appeal against the red card he received following a clash with Scott McKenna during the second-half of the Ladbrokes Premiership match will be heard this evening.

McGregor escaped punishment from referee Bobby Madden for his challenge on Ferguson, but Clare Whyte, the SFA compliance officer, is reviewing footage of several incidents from midweek matches and could issue a notice of complaint.
Derek McInnes, the Aberdeen manager, admitted he was unhappy the match official had failed to take action against the Scotland internationalist after the game. “Maybe for another refereeing decision – McGregor coming through Ferguson – and us not rushing our chances, we might have taken something out of the game,” he said.
Morelos had the red card he was shown for kicking out at McKenna in the opening Premiership game of the 2018/19 campaign back in August reduced to a yellow following an appeal.
The 22-year-old is facing a two game ban for violent conduct as a result of his latest ordering off. That would rule Scotland’s top scorer, who took his tally for the season to 23 with a first-half double in a game his side ran out 4-2 winners in, out of the William Hill Scottish Cup fifth round match against Kilmarnock at Rugby Park on Saturday.

McInnes felt Madden, who also awarded two penalties, had got both red card decisions correct after the game. “My first thoughts with McKenna is that both red cards are right,” he said. "McKenna is maybe guilty with a bit of naivety with Morelos, as he’s got previous with his antics.”
Morelos has been sent off four times, one of which was rescinded, this season. He failed to last the full 90 minutes in a Europa League qualifier against Ufa in Russia in August and also received two yellow cards in a league game against Aberdeen at Ibrox in December.
Gerrard was unsure if the former Helsinki player had deserved his latest punishment after the game, but admitted the centre forward had to be more disciplined to fulfil his enormous potential.

“I’m doing everything in my power to help the kid grow as a footballer and as a person,” he said. “I am not going to take the physical side away from him because he’ll get bullied out there. He’ll get bullied every game because he’s up against some strong physical players.
“But for Alfredo to get to the next level and move in his career – and for people to trust him – he does have to channel it in the right way.”
