VAR is still a relatively new phenomenon in world football and as the sport adapts to its implementation, hiccups are bound to occur.

Each week a new, unforseen issue seems to arise as the technology is used in innovative ways by officials.

On Sunday, Legia Warsaw were playing Cracovia in the Polish top flight, and one of the most extraordinary VAR decisions we've seen yet took place.

Defender William Remy was shown a second yellow for a challenge on an opposing player and walked down the tunnel accordingly while the referee consulted VAR about the decision.

After reviewing the incident, the referee called back Remy and waved him onto the pitch, rescinding his yellow card.

A relieved Remy didn't get far, however, before the ref called him back and decided to show him a straight red card instead.
