CELTIC manager Brendan Rodgers could have a decision to make as Leicester are believed to have made their move for the 46-year-old.
Rodgers is Leicester's first choice candidate to assume the managerial role following the weekend sacking of Claude Puel.
It is understood that Rodgers had intimated that his preference was to remain at Celtic until the end of the season given the fact that the Parkhead side are chasing an unprecedented triple treble.
However, sources close to Leicester have suggested that filling the position is an immediate and one time offer as the Foxes look to appoint a manager as swiftly as possible to recuperate some of the damage sustained to their season.

There had been a suggestion that they would consider an interim manager between now and the end of the campaign but with Leicester in 12th place in the table and each position worth an estimated £2.7m to the English top flight clubs, it has been seen as too expensive a risk to take.
Celtic would be entitled to significant compensation from Leicester with Rodgers still having just over two years on a contract that is estimated to be in excess of £2.5m per year. However, the timing of the deal would be deeply unsettling for Celtic as they look to make domestic history.
Parkhead goalkeeper Scott Bain spoke about the speculation around the Celtic manager yesterday as he voiced his optimism that the weight of Celtic and the chance to create further history would entice Rodgers to remain at the club.
“Celtic are obviously a bigger club than Leicester,” he said. “But we know the Premier League is a big attraction to players and managers alike, so it’s difficult. But the whole attraction for the manager coming here was the size of the club and what he can achieve here.
“I don’t see how that has changed regardless of the speculation about interest from other clubs.
“The EPL is always going to attract the best players and managers, purely money wise. He’s been there before but you don’t know what’s going to happen.

“You are always going to get speculation. It is the same with managers as it is with top players. There will always be speculation to the Premiership, Spain, France and Italy. There is always going to be that speculation so it is not unusual in football.”
Celtic play Hearts at Tynecastle tomorrow night with Bain relaxed about the speculation surrounding Rodgers.
“It will not distract us from our job and it won’t distract him from his job,” he said. “We have a massive game on Wednesday night that we’ll be focused on. He loves the club and he’s shown over these past few years he is going to be a massive part of the club’s history.
“It’s important for us for him to stay. He’s probably not even thought about 10 in a row or treble trebles. He’s very focused on the next game but it’s outwith the hands of the players."
