With Scotland fans still licking their wounds from the abject performance against Kazakhstan we’ve taken a look at the Rangers players on international duty and how they have been fairing for their countries so far.

Borna Barisic

The 26-year-old Croatian international Barisic opened his account for his country on Thursday, scoring the equaliser during a 2-1 victory over Azerbaijan. The left-back, who has struggled for consistent game time under Steven Gerrard this season, scored late on in the first half for Croatia to give them a winning start in their qualifying campaign. Up next for Barisic is a trip to Hungary away on Sunday evening.

Glasgow Times:

Alfredo Morelos

The Ibrox striker came off the bench with four minutes to go during Colombia’s 1-0 win away to Japan. The prolific 22-year-old had little time to make any sort of an impact but will be hoping he can continue his goalscoring exploits for his country should the opportunity arise. Up next for Colombia and Morelos is a trip to South Korea on Tuesday morning.

Eros Grezda

Although having just returned from injury, Grezda will be considered for Albania’s upcoming double header. They kick off their campaign on Friday night at home to Turkey before travelling to Andorra to take on the minnows on Monday evening.

Glen Kamara

The 23 year-old Kamara has enjoyed an accomplished start to his Rangers career. The man signed from Dundee is a full Finnish internationalist and will be looking to add to the caps he has received to date. Finland kick off their campaign with a trip to European footballing giants Italy before travelling to Armenia to face them on Tuesday.

Lassana Coulibaly

The box-to-box midfielder may not be getting as many appearances as he would have hoped for this campaign but that will not stop him trying to make a positive impact for Mali in their final African Cup of Nations Qualifying Match on Saturday night. Mali host South Sudan, as they look to top their qualifying group before travelling to Senegal for a friendly match on Tuesday.

Scott Arfield

The Canadian internationalist will make the long trip over the Atlantic to take on the French Guyana. This is part of the CONCACAF Qualifying Campaign where there will be just one fixture for Arfield.

Glasgow Times:

Kyle Lafferty and Steve Davis

The Northern Irish duo were both on show as Northern Ireland ran out 2-0 winners against Estonia. Davis was on the scoresheet from the penalty spot while Kyle Lafferty assisted Niall McGinn’s opening goal. Next up for Northern Ireland is another home qualifier, this time against Belarus.
