STEVE Clarke of Kilmarnock is the only Ladbrokes Premiership manager to be named among the nominees for the GMB Scotland Manager of the Year award.

The other contenders are Dick Campbell of Arbroath, Steve Ferguson and Stuart Kettlewell of Ross County and Jim Goodwin of Alloa Athletic.

The winner will be announced at the PFA Scotland annual awards dinner at the Hilton Hotel in Glasgow on Sunday.

Clarke has led the Rugby Park club to a second consecutive top six finish in the top flight and put them in contention for a European place in the 2018/19 campaign.

Under Campbell, Arbroath took League One by storm and secured the third tier title last month.

Ferguson and Kettlewell, meanwhile, have taken County back into the Premiership at the first time of asking and led them to Irn Bru Cup victory.

Alloa have had a rollercoaster season under Goodwin and could still be relegated from the Championship.

But the former Hamilton and St Mirren midfielder is in charge of the only part-time club in the division has impressed many onlookers.

The Manager of the Year Award is being chosen by the Manager’s and Coaches Association – a branch of GMB Scotland.
