THERE are a number of exciting Scottish Premiership prospects that are worth getting excited about. With that in mind, we'll be revealing our top 10 players under 21 currently plying their trade in the top flight. In order to be considered, players have to be based in Scotland permanently and have to have a significant number of minutes under their belts this season. The likes of Karamoko Dembele at Celtic or Rangers' Dapo Mebude might go on to become stars, but it's still a little too early to say for sure. Without any further ado, here's number 10 on our list...

In at number 10, we've picked out Hearts winger Callumn Morrison. The 19-year-old has been a regular starter for Craig Levein's side until his season was disrupted by injury, making a total of 25 league appearances this year. Spells at Stirling Albion and Brechin City have prepared Morrison for life in the Premiership, and the right-sided midfielder has made the step up effortlessly.

Morrison hits 5.67 crosses per 90 minutes for Hearts, a near-identical level of output to Rangers captain James Tavernier, which is the eighth-highest average of any Premiership player. At just 19 years old, Morrison has bags of potential and looks like he'll be a regular fixture in the Hearts side for years to come. The youngster has enjoyed a fine debut season in the Premiership and will surely get a lot of game time next season once he has fully recovered from his injury.
