THERE are a number of exciting Scottish Premiership prospects that are worth getting excited about. With that in mind, we'll be revealing our top 10 players under 21 currently plying their trade in the top flight. In order to be considered, players have to be based in Scotland permanently and have to have a significant number of minutes under their belts this season. The likes of Karamoko Dembele at Celtic or Rangers' Dapo Mebude might go on to become stars, but it's still a little too early to say for sure. Without any further ado, here's our number 9...

At number nine of our list of the top Premiership youngsters, we've opted for Hibernian striker Oli Shaw. After breaking into the Hibs first team last season, Shaw has gone on to make 35 appearances in all competitions for the Leith cluib this season - not bad for a 20-year-old playing at one of Scotland's biggest clubs.

Shaw has averaged 0.44 goals per 90 minutes this season; an excellent return for a player of his age. There are a few other young players who are better than Shaw in this regard, but (spoiler alert!) we'll be profiling them later in the week too. A direct striker with a good physical presence, Shaw looks set to be the latest exciting prospect to come out of the Easter Road youth academy and with Marc McNulty set to return to parent club Reading, we could see a lot more of Shaw next season.
