RANGERS could be tempted to sell Albanian winger Eros Grezda if the right offer comes in, Lyon have joined Marseille and Porto in registering their interest in Olivier Ntcham and Greg Taylor is attracting interest from multiple clubs.
Rangers 'willing to listen' to Grezda bids
The Daily Record are reporting that Rangers will consider any bids made for Albanian winger Eros Grezda, who joined the club from Osijek last summer for around £2 million. Grezda had an underwhelming debut campaign at Ibrox and following the arrival of Jordan Jones, Sheyi Ojo and Greg Stewart, the 24-year-old has moved down the pecking order at Rangers.
Celtic and Rangers 'have been chasing Turnbull for years'
Gordon Young, the former head of Motherwell's youth academy, has revealed that Celtic and Rangers have tried to sign David Turnbull on a yearly basis - and pointed out that Jake Hastie had knocked back Rangers "three or four times" as a youngster. Young explained: "I always thought it was better to sell them to Rangers and Celtic as established players, rather than them getting gobbled up as a nine or 10-year-old and becoming just another fish in the pond."
Lyon interested in Ntcham
Celtic midfielder Olivier Ntcham, who has been linked with a move to Porto or Marseille this summer, can now count Lyon amongst his admirers as the French club mull over a bid for the 23-year-old. The Scottish Sun are reporting that Lyon sporting director Juninho is a fan of the central midfielder and would like to make a move for him.
Liverpool reject Kent loan move
Leeds Live are reporting that English Championship side Leeds United have had a loan bid for Rangers target Ryan Kent rejected by Liverpool. After spending the last few years out on loan at various clubs, Kent is reportedly only interested in a permanent transfer this summer.
Stewart completes Rangers move
Greg Stewart, who has spent the last two seasons on loan at Aberdeen and Kilmarnock, has completed his switch to Ibrox and signed a two-year contract. The attacker is Steven Gerrard's third signing this summer, after Jordan Jones and Jake Hastie also moved to Ibrox.
Hull linked with Greg Taylor
Kilmarnock left-back Greg Taylor, who made his Scotland debut against Belgium on Tuesday night, has caught the attention of English Championship side Hull City, according to the Daily Record. The Record also believe that Celtic and Rangers are interested in the 21-year-old but both would have to move left-backs on before making an approach.
Ruth signs for Aberdeen
Queen's Park striker Michael Ruth has joined Aberdeen and will be part of the club's development squad next season. The Scottish Sun are reporting that the 17-year-old striker had attracted interest from Rangers and Hibernian before settling on a move to Pittodrie.
Stewart: I've never seen as much work being done at Rangers
Colin Stewart, director of operations for the Rangers Youth Development Club, has admitted that the amount of work being done at Ibrox this summer has blown him away. "I am almost 20 years at the club and I have never seen as much work getting done at the same time as this summer," Stewart said. "You can hardly get moving for people with hard hats and that is fantastic to see."
Gillingham pip Rangers to Willock signing
Matty Willock, who was contracted to Manchester United and spent last season on loan at Crawley Town, has joined Gillingham despite reported interest from Rangers, according to the Scotsman. Willock spent the second half of the 2017/18 season on loan at St Johnstone but opted for the League One club rather than a move to the Premiership.
Why are you making commenting on The Herald only available to subscribers?
It should have been a safe space for informed debate, somewhere for readers to discuss issues around the biggest stories of the day, but all too often the below the line comments on most websites have become bogged down by off-topic discussions and abuse.
heraldscotland.com is tackling this problem by allowing only subscribers to comment.
We are doing this to improve the experience for our loyal readers and we believe it will reduce the ability of trolls and troublemakers, who occasionally find their way onto our site, to abuse our journalists and readers. We also hope it will help the comments section fulfil its promise as a part of Scotland's conversation with itself.
We are lucky at The Herald. We are read by an informed, educated readership who can add their knowledge and insights to our stories.
That is invaluable.
We are making the subscriber-only change to support our valued readers, who tell us they don't want the site cluttered up with irrelevant comments, untruths and abuse.
In the past, the journalist’s job was to collect and distribute information to the audience. Technology means that readers can shape a discussion. We look forward to hearing from you on heraldscotland.com
