Celtic midfielder Ryan Christie has revealed that he is delighted to playing in a number 10 role under Neil Lennon as he feels it’s his best position. Christie said: “The position that I was playing on Tuesday night, that number 10, I love playing in there. The gaffer says he sees me in there so that’s music to my ears.”
Kent included in Liverpool’s pre-season squad
Rangers target Ryan Kent has been included in Liverpool’s pre-season squad as the players fly out to America. The Daily Record are reporting that the 22-year-old will feature for Liverpool against Tranmere tonight, as Rangers wait to discover if a deal can be done to bring Kent back to Ibrox.

Alessio: I was never worried
Kilmarnock manager Angelo Alessio got off to a winning start as manager of the Ayrshire club with a 2-1 win over Connah’s Quay Nomads last night and insisted that the result was never in doubt, despite watching his side fall behind with just 15 minutes left to play. “We showed a great reaction mentally,” said Alessio. “We came back strongly and this was key to us winning the game. My team is strong. We never give up. This is a big show in Europe and we knew it would be tough.”
McInnes concerned with late away goal
Aberdeen began their European campaign with a 2-1 win over Rops Rovaniemi at Pittodrie last night, although manager Derek McInnes was concerned that his side conceded a potentially crucial away goal in the game’s closing minutes. McInnes said: “We worked them well and looked the better side but the goal means this wasn't the result I was looking for. If we had taken our chances we could have this wrapped up but we face a difficult game in Finland next week. I'm confident if we take the chances we can go through.”
