CELTIC'S bid to reach the group stages of this season's Champions League contiunes this week, as the Scottish champions face CFR Cluj in the third round of qualifying.

The Romanian champions eliminated Maccabi Tel Aviv to tee up the tie with Neil Lennon's side. If Celtic can progress at the expense of Cluj, then Slavia Prague await in the final round of qualifying.

The first leg will be held in Romania, at the Dr Constantin Radescu Stadium. It's more commonly referred to as the CFR Cluj stadium.

The match will be broadcast on Celtic TV to subscribers who reside outside the UK. Additionally, the match will be shown on Premier Sports 1, with the coverage beginning at 6:55pm.

Celtic are the favourites to leave Romania with a win but the bookies are predicting a tight affair. Lennon's side are the slight favourites at 8/5, while Cluj can be back at around 9/5.

New signing Hatem Abd Elhamed could be set for his first taste of European football with Celtic after replacing Daniel Arzani in Celtic's European squad roster. The Israeli limped off against St Johnstone on Saturday after picking up a dead leg, but should be fully fit for Wednesday night's game.

Lennon's midfield trio of Scott Brown, Callum McGregor and Ryan Christie could return to the first team after being rested for Celtic's last European fixture against Nomme Kalju. Christopher Jullien and Jozo Simunovic both sat out Celtic's 7-0 win over St Johnstone last weekend and could be in line for a return to the starting XI.
