STEVEN GERRARD will keep a close eye on the English transfer window before finalising his Rangers signing spree this summer.
The Ibrox boss has added eight players to his squad in recent weeks as he targets domestic silverware and another extended run in the Europa League this term.
But he remains active in the transfer market in a bid to further strengthen his side before the close of business in Scotland next month.
Gerrard’s chances of securing a second loan deal for Ryan Kent appeared over last week when Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp ruled out another temporary switch for the winger and insisted he would only be sold if he was to leave Anfield.
The transfer window for clubs in the Premier League and Championship closes at 5pm on Thursday and Gerrard will watch on with interest ahead of Rangers’ Europa League clash with Midtjylland.

“Close to,” he said when asked how far away Rangers were from where he expected them to be at this stage. “I think we’re trying to shape the squad, to have it complete. I think we’re very close.
“I think in the coming days it could be big in terms of the window in England. We will see what happens over the next couple of days.
“I think we’re really close in terms of where we want to be.
“But I’d still like to see improvement in certain areas.
“But I’m content where I’m sitting now and I’ve got confidence and belief with the squad we’ve got at the moment.
“But I would like to put the finishing touches to it as well.”
