CELTIC have accepted a bid from Arsenal for Kieran Tierney, Steven Gerrard is keeping a close eye on England’s transfer deadline day with a view to making another signing and Aberdeen manager Derek McInnes is livid with English Championship clubs for approaching Scott McKenna so close to the end of the transfer window.

Celtic accept bid for Tierney

Arsenal have had a bid, thought to be around £25 million, accepted for Celtic full-back Kieran Tierney. The 22-year-old is in London having a medical today, and is expected to complete a move ahead of tonight’s 5pm deadline.

Gerrard to monitor English moves

Rangers manager Steven Gerrard will be keeping a close eye on the English transfer market today, with a view to bringing one more players before the Scottish window closes at the beginning of next month. Gerrard said: “I think in the coming days it could be big in terms of the window in England. We will see what happens over the next couple of days. But I’d still like to see improvement in certain areas.”

McInnes furious with English Championship clubs

Derek McInnes is livid with clubs in England who are making a move late in the transfer window for star defender Scott McKenna. Queens Park Rangers, Nottingham Forest and Sheffield Wednesday are said to be interested in the Scottish internationalist but McInnes is not happy with the clubs’ pursuit of the centre-back. “These clubs have had the whole summer to do a deal and there is a degree of anger, frustration and contempt towards these clubs for trying to put their best foot forward now,” said McInnes.

Sinclair set for Celtic exit?

Celtic winger Scott Sinclair is edging towards the exit door at Parkhead and could leave the club today, with Preston North End reportedly interested in recruiting the Englishman’s services. Sinclair, who was included in Celtic’s European squad, did not travel to Romania with his team-mates for last night’s 1-1 draw with Cluj.

Rangers ‘reject West Brom bid for Morelos'

Rangers have knocked back a bid in excess of £10 million from West Bromwich Albion for Colombian striker Alfredo Morelos, according to the Daily Record. Rangers reportedly value last season’s top scorer higher than that, and West Brom boss Slaven Bilic will now turn his attention elsewhere.

Hemmings on verge of Dundee return

Dundee are closing in on the signing of Kane Hemmings, who played for the Championship club for the 2015/16 season. The Scottish Sun are reporting that the former Rangers forward is expected to join the Dens Park club imminently.

May’s St Johnstone homecoming collapses again

Aberdeen striker Stevie May will not be re-joining St Johnstone, after the Perth club failed in a second attempt to bring the forward back to McDiarmid Park. According to the Daily Record, May rejected the contract on offer at St Johnstone and will be staying put at Aberdeen for the time being.
