Rangers teen Josh McPake is 'poised to sign on loan at Dundee' after reportedly being spotted in the crowd for the Dees' Betfred Cup tie against Aberdeen.

The midfielder, 17, has been on James McPake's radar and has also reportedly been tracked by St Johnstone.

Dundee appear to have won the race to sign the kid on loan.

Rangers teen Josh McPake target for Ireland as SFA face fight to keep him

McPake recently signed a new deal at Ibrox to keep him there until at least 2022.

So Steven Gerrard appears to have him in his mind for the future.

A loan deal is seemingly the best option for both parties.

Ross County were also credited with an interest in McPake who played off the bench for Rangers' first-team in a friendly against Oxford United earlier this summer.
