Meling to shine
Celtic target Birger Meling can shine at a “stronger club in a stronger league” claims his agent.
Former Liverpool player Bjorn Tore Kvarme reckons the left-back will flourish away from Rosenborg at a club of a higher level.
The Norwegian outfit have seemingly accepted that their defender will leave this summer and Neil Lennon has been credited with an interest to bolster his back line.

Now Meling’s rep says his player can do the business at a higher level.
He said: “In general, it is always interesting for players to go to bigger leagues to play for bigger clubs.
“You just have to find the right moment. But if Rosenborg get into the Champions League that is interesting for Birger as well. We will have to wait and see what happens.” (Herald Scotland)
Hendry wanted by two clubs
Jack Hendry is reportedly on the radar of both Motherwell and Kilmarnock.
The two sides are ‘keen’ on the defender who has three years to run on his deal at Parkhead.

Liverpool winger Ryan Kent could ‘down tools to force through a move to Rangers’.
The former Ibrox loanee is reportedly desperate to return to Glasgow but was left disappointed when told a loan move would not be allowed by Jurgen Klopp.

Kent was even left out of Liverpool’s under-23s team for their trip to Chelsea despite starting last week vs Tottenham and being fully fit.
It is now understood that Kent wants to force a move to Rangers and Steven Gerrard remains hopeful a deal can be done. (Daily Record)
Nifty at fifty
Clyde boss Danny Lennon substituted HIMSELF on during his side’s win over Celtic colts in the Glasgow cup last night.
Lennon, 50, took to the field at Broadwood to replace Liam Allison during Bully Wee’s 3-1 win.
It is not yet known why the manager felt the need to name himself in the squad, presumably because his side were short numbered.
Lennon - who retired 11 years ago - is 33 years older than Celtic kid Armstrong Okoflex who played.
