Rangers target Ryan Kent could be set to 'down tools to force a move to Ibrox' this summer.

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has categorically ruled out a loan move for the winger already this summer, telling the player he needs to find a club to "settle down" at.

It is understood, though, that Kent is desperate to push a deal through to allow him to head back up to Glasgow.

Ryan Kent set for Liverpool exit after he's axed from under-23s squad for Chelsea clash

Kent, 22, was axed from the Liverpool under-23s for their trip to Chelsea at the weekend despite starting for the same team last week against Tottenham.

The Daily Record are now claiming that Gers boss Steven Gerrard could chance his luck with another loan bid that would have the option of a permanent deal as a clause for next season.

This would seemingly allow some clever financial manoeuvring that would see Gers finally be able to bankroll a swoop.

Liverpool reportedly want around £7million for their playmaker.
