THE English transfer window may have closed on the eve of the 2019/20 campaign but here in Scotland, we still have a couple more weeks of wheeling a dealing.

There has been the usual squad upheaval in the Scottish top flight this summer; Steven Gerrard has added no fewer than 10 new faces to his side this window, there have been wholesale changes at Celtic Park while the likes of Hearts, Hibs and Aberdeen have been busy recruiting ahead of the new season.

But the clock is ticking, and it won't be long until Scottish clubs will no longer be able to buy and sell players. The window will close on Monday, September 2 at midnight and will not re-open until January 2020.

The deadline for Scottish teams usually falls on the last day of August but as this is a Friday, clubs have been given an extra two days to finalise their transfer activity.
