FRASER FORSTER could be set for a return to Celtic Park, Neil Lennon has defended chief executive Peter Lawwell from the 'unfair' criticism levelled at the Celtic chief and former Rangers midfielder Jason Holt is being linked with a move to McDiarmid Park.

Forster to 'undergo medical'

Southampton goalkeeper Fraser Forster could be in line for a return to Celtic, with the Scottish Sun reporting that the 31-year-old is set to undergo a medical at Parkhead. Forster was at Celtic between 2010 and 2014 before joining the Premier League side for a fee of around £9 million.

Aberdeen name new training ground after vice-chairman

Aberdeen's new training facility has been named after vice-chairman Dave Cormack. The £12 million venue is scheduled to officially open its doors on October 31.

Lennon defends Lawwell

Celtic manager Neil Lennon has leapt to the defence of chief executive Peter Lawwell, describing recent criticism of the Celtic chief as "unfair". Lennon said: "He’s presided over eight leagues in a row and three trebles and we’ve been in the last 16 [of the Champions League] a few times as well over the piece. So it’s probably as good a time as the club has had for a long, long time."

Holt to St Johnstone?

Tommy Wright is said to be keen on bringing Rangers midfielder Jason Holt to St Johnstone on a one-year loan, according to the Scottish Sun. Holt, 26, had a spell at Joey Barton's Fleetwood Town last season but is understood to be surplus to requirements at Ibrox.
