FORMER Hibs forward Junior Agogo has died at the age of 40.

The Ghanian suffered a stroke in 2015 that resulted in difficulties with his speech.

Agogo joined Hibs in 2011, scoring once in 14 appearances for the Leith club.

Agogo's first club, Sheffield Wednesday, led the tributes to the former Ghana international.

A post on Twitter read: "Sheffield Wednesday are saddened to learn of the passing of our former player Junior Agogo.

"Our thoughts and prayers are with Junior's family and friends at this very difficult time. RIP."
