ST JOHNSTONE defender Richard Foster has been frozen out of McDiarmid Park.

The former Aberdeen, Rangers, Bristol City and Ross County full-back was posted missing from Tommy Wright’s squad which twice fought back to claim a point against Hibs.

It’s understood that Foster’s three-year Perth career is hanging in the balance after an angry training ground bust-up.

Foster, 34, is believed to have reacted furiously to Wright during a session last week – triggering the club’s disciplinary procedure.

Now the Saints vice-captain, who has clocked-up more than a century of starts under Wright, could be on the hunt for a new club.

It’s not the first time Foster has found himself in hot water at McDiarmid.

He was fined four weeks' wages in 2017 after a high profile scrap on the pitch at Hamilton with teammate Danny Swanson.

Both players, who were red carded, accepted their punishment for bringing the club into disrepute and were given a reprieve.

But after this latest incident Foster – who is contracted through to next summer – looks set to be on his way out of Perth before the transfer window closes next week.

St Johnstone have declined to comment.
