This is the bizarre moment Rennes had a goal chalked off TWICE during their goalless draw with Brest last weekend.

Celtic's Europa League opponents for this week were held to a 0-0 draw which keeps them joint second in Ligue 1 behind PSG.

However Julien Stéphan's side were convinced they'd scored through Raphinha on 64 minutes - only for referee Clement Turpin to rule it out.

On a second look the whistler then decided to award the goal, allowing Rennes players to celebrate what they believed to be their winner.

But, in the end, Turpin consulted with VAR and decided that Brest goalkeeper Gautier Larsonneur had been clattered in the build-up.

Chaos ensued as Brest players refused to kick-off until the ref looked at a video replay and Rennes' stars were furious with the decision.

The visitors were forced to accept just a point and will no doubt take some bitterness into this Thursday's clash with Celtic in their Group E opener.
