Ryan Kent has been pictured stepping up his training in a bid to return to the fold at Rangers.

Kent, 22, has been out of action since September 14 when he picked up a hamstring injury at home to Livington.

It was only 40 minutes into his re-debut after joining the Ibrox club on a permanent £7m deal from Liverpool.

Gers boss Steven Gerrard and assistant Gary McAllister have both made it clear they weren't prepared to rush the winger back to action.

But it appears he's managed to take full advantage of the international break.

Rangers' official Twitter account posted snaps of the playmaker on the pitch at the Hummel Training Centre working alongside first-team stars like Connor Goldson and Greg Docherty.

Fans also loved the pictures and many begged the Light Blues to start Kent on Sunday away to Hearts at Tynecastle.

One beamed: "God has returned."

Another added: "Oh my sweet 55".

One wrote: "Let's go!!"

A fourth said: "Start him at Tynecastle please".

We told previously how Kent was expected to be back in contention after the break - but it is not yet known if he is fully fit or will be available for this weekend's Premiership clash.
