Celtic visit Rome for their Lazio reverse after victory at Parkhead a fortnight ago.

Here our Herald and Times Sports writers have their say on proceedings.

Neil Lennon’s side had to leave it late at Parkhead and they are capable of getting a result on the road.

A point is perhaps the best they can hope for and would leave Celtic well placed in the section.

This is a tough fixture, though, and Lazio should edge it in Rome.

Prediction: Lazio 2-1 Celtic

Mark Hendry

Lazio are out for revenge tonight after their defeat in Glasgow.

They've got plenty of stars to cause Celtic trouble and, if Neil Lennon's men aren't defensively sound, will do so.

Boli Bolingoli hasn't travelled so the manager has to make the right call over who replaces him.

Celtic are no mugs, though, and go into the game top of Group E. They're coming off the back of a brilliant win in a cup semi-final and full of confidence.

Keep it tight at the back and break at speed, and Celtic have a good chance of grabbing a point at the very least.

Prediction: Lazio 2-2 Celtic

Graeme McGarry

There may not be many out there giving Neil Lennon’s side much of a chance in the Stadio Olimpico tonight, but I fancy them to come away with something.

They have injury concerns, particularly at left-back with Boli Bolingoli not travelling to Rome, but either Greg Taylor or Jonny Hayes are able stand-ins.

And what will give Celtic hope is the fact that they have shown themselves to be more than a match for anyone in the group. They aren’t going into the game as leaders of the section by accident.

Lazio threat stretches way beyond Immobile, warns Kris Ajer as Celtic touch down in Rome

They are currently undefeated away from home in Europe this season, and I think perhaps even their manager was surprised by the level of performance they produced in Rennes in the opening Group E encounter.

They should have won that match, but while I fancy a victory may just be beyond them here, a draw certainly is not.

Prediction: Lazio 1-1 Celtic

Paige Beresford

Celtic will be in for a tough match against Lazio in Rome tonight.

Not only will Lazio be gunning for revenge after leaving Parkhead with nothing the last time these two sides faced, but they also need a win to stay in the qualification mix which will add extra incentive.

Mohamed Elyounoussi and Odsonne Edouard are obvious threats and Neil Lennon‘s men remain unbeaten in five of their away matches in Europe so far, which will give them confidence going into the game.

But I don’t think it’ll be enough against Simone Inzaghi's more desperate side.

Prediction: Lazio 2-1 Celtic

James Cairney

Celtic will be hopeful of pulling off a win after their dramatic comeback over the Italians last time around.

Hatem Elhamed confident that Celtic are good enough to resist Lazio’s lust for revenge

The loss of Boli Bolingoli is sure to be keenly felt and it will be interesting to see if Greg Taylor is given the nod ahead of Jonny Hayes at left-back; in my opinion, Taylor is more defensive and should start.

Though Neil Lennon might not want to throw him in at the deep end in the Stadio Olimpico.

Given the free-flowing nature of Celtic under Lennon, I can’t see Lazio keeping a clean sheet tonight but I fear the Italians might have too much about them, especially on home soil.

A win – or even a draw – would be a great result, but I’m going to go for a win for the hosts tonight.

But Celtic will make them work hard for it.

Prediction: Lazio 2-1 Celtic

Matthew Lindsay

Neil Lennon needs to get his tactics right and every one of his players to perform at their very best in order for Celtic to get a result against Lazio in the Stadio Olimpico tonight.

But if both of those things happen the Parkhead club are more than capable of getting a result in this Europa League tie in Rome.

Whoever replaces Boli Bolingoli at left-back, Jonny Hayes or Greg Taylor, will have to rise to the challenge.

That said, Bolingoli can be a liability defensively at times. His absence could work in the Glasgow club's favour.

Scott Brown and his teammates have to take their chances when they come and nullify the threat the hosts' strikers pose.

But Simone Inzaghi has personnel problems and their rivals can capitalise on that and draw and possibly even win.

Prediction: Lazio 1-1 Celtic
