RANGERS striker Alfredo Morelos left it late to grab his first international goal, finding the n et late on against Peru to break 90 minutes of deadlock.

Morelos started for Carlos Queiroz's side and picked up a yellow card around the hour-mark.

As the clock reached stoppage time, the two teams looked set to share the points until Morelos' last-gasp intervention.

In the 93rd minute, Colombia were awarded a free-kick on the left around 30 yards from goal which the 23-year-old managed to steer just beyond Pedro Gallese in the Peru goal to seal the win for his country.

The goal was Morelos' first in international football and arrived during his sixth appearance for Colombia.

Following the friendly against Peru, Colombia's next fixture sees Queiroz's team take on Ecuador at New Jersey's Red Bull Arena on Wednesday morning (UK time).
