PARTICK THISTLE will host holders Celtic in the fourth round of the William Hill Scottish Cup.
Neil Lennon's side join the rest of the Premiership in entering the competition at this stage and will make the short journey to Firhill as they attempt to win the trophy for a fourth successive season.
Thistle struggled past Penicuik Athletic in the third round and will be under no illusions about the scale of the challenge facing them, having already been brushed aside by the champions in a 5-0 win for Celtic at Parkhead in the League Cup in September.
Rangers, meanwhile, will welcome League One strugglers Stranraer to Ibrox for their fourth-round tie.
Aberdeen will also host third-tier opposition after being paired alongside Jim Duffy's Dumbarton.
Hibernian will travel to Tayside to face Championship leaders Dundee United in one of the more eye-catching ties, while their rivals Hearts will take on Airdrieonians, who currently top League One.
Stephen Robinson's Motherwell were drawn against Dundee at Dens Park and Queen's Park – who defeated Queen of the South in the previous round – will play Kilmarnock in Ayrshire.
Livingston will be the home side when they play Raith Rovers and Brian Rice's Hamilton will welcome Edinburgh City to the FOYS Stadium.
The winners of the third-round replay between Greenock Morton and Highland League leaders Brora Rangers will be rewarded with an away tie to St Johnstone.
Newly-promoted Ross County will face Ayr United at Somerset Park, while East of Scotland League duo Broxburn Athletic and Bonnyrigg Rose will face St Mirren and Clyde respectively.
Lowland League outfit BSC Glasgow, who knocked out League One's East Fife with a dramatic 4-3 win in the third round, have been drawn away to East Kilbride.
Junior champions Auchinleck Talbot were drawn as the home side in their tie and will play Falkirk in the fourth round - if they can win their replay against Arbroath.
Alloa will also host Inverness in an all-Championship affair.
The matches are scheduled to take place on the weekend of January 18 in the first weekend of competitive football for Premiership teams following the winter break.
Why are you making commenting on The Herald only available to subscribers?
It should have been a safe space for informed debate, somewhere for readers to discuss issues around the biggest stories of the day, but all too often the below the line comments on most websites have become bogged down by off-topic discussions and abuse.
heraldscotland.com is tackling this problem by allowing only subscribers to comment.
We are doing this to improve the experience for our loyal readers and we believe it will reduce the ability of trolls and troublemakers, who occasionally find their way onto our site, to abuse our journalists and readers. We also hope it will help the comments section fulfil its promise as a part of Scotland's conversation with itself.
We are lucky at The Herald. We are read by an informed, educated readership who can add their knowledge and insights to our stories.
That is invaluable.
We are making the subscriber-only change to support our valued readers, who tell us they don't want the site cluttered up with irrelevant comments, untruths and abuse.
In the past, the journalist’s job was to collect and distribute information to the audience. Technology means that readers can shape a discussion. We look forward to hearing from you on heraldscotland.com
