Russia have been banned from global sporting events for four years following a unanimous decision by The World Anti-Doping Agency.

It was revealed recently that the Russian Anti-Doping Agency (RUSADA) was non-compliant over inconsistencies in anti-doping data.

WADA recommended a four-year ban which has now been agreed upon by members of the committee.

It will exclude Russia from participating in next year's 2020 Olympics and World Cup 2022.

Scotland's national team, however, will not receive any second opportunity at automatic Euro 2020 qualification.

UEFA is not defined as a 'Major Event Organisation', which it would need to be for Russia to be unable to participate.
