RANGERS will face Hibernian on Friday night, safe in the knowledge that anything other than a win would be damaging to their title bid after Celtic opened up a five-point gap at the Premiership's summit with a 2-0 win at Tynecastle.

Hibernian will be looking to bounce back from their 2-0 reverse to Celtic in their last outing and have caused Rangers issues in Leith before; the Ibrox club are without a win at Easter Road in two years.

Here's everything you need to know ahead of the match.

Where is the match taking place?

The game will go ahead at Easter Road.

What time is kick-off?

The fixture will get under way at 7:45pm on Friday 20 December.

Is it on TV?

Yes. BT Sport 1 will be broadcasting the game live, with their coverage beginning at 7pm. Alternatively, you can join us for our live blog where we'll be providing all the latest updates.

Who are the favourites?

Steven Gerrard's side are the bookies' favourites to end their Easter Road hoodoo and return to Govan with all three points, and can be backed at around 2/5. Hibs, meanwhile, are currently priced at around 6/1 to record a win.

What's the latest team news?

Rangers will be without the services of top scorer Alfredo Morelos after the striker accrued two yellow cards against Motherwell last week. That means Jermain Defoe is expected to start up front, while Nikola Katic is likely to retain his place in defence in the starting XI. Steven Davis remains a doubt for the visitors.

Hibernian, meanwhile, will be without Glenn Middleton as he is not eligible to play against his parent club and while David Gray is back training with his side, Jason Naismith is expected to start at right-back for Jack Ross' side.
