Fraser Forster: A quiet afternoon for the Englishman but stayed alert for 90 minutes and made a smart stop to deny Jonathan Obika. Didn't have much chance with St Mirren goal after big deflection. 6

Jeremie Frimpong: His usual energetic self, the Dutchman was up and down the right-flank all afternoon. He doesn't seem to run out of energy as a willing runner and has a knack for zipping in dangerous crosses and creating decent opportunities. 7

Kris Ajer: Should have scored at least once in the first-half after finding space at corners in the Saints box. Solid defensively but rarely challenged by the hosts' attackers. 6

Christopher Jullien: Had a few tussles with St Mirren's two burly strikers but seemed to come out on top. Didn't know much about the Buddies goal which cannoned off his head before hitting the net. 6

Boli Bolingoli: Got forward well enough but wasn't popular in Paisley after hitting the deck theatrically when shoved by Junior Morias. Another of Celtic's back four who wasn't put under too much pressure. 6

James Forrest: Drifted from the right-wing to the left and back again but always caused trouble for the home side. Definitely more of a threat on the right-hand side and scored a brilliant second goal to kill off Saints. 7

Ryan Christie: Has had to accept being moved around the Hoops front line to accommodate Olivier Ntcham in beside Scott Brown but never seems to mind. Perhaps not his most effective performance in a Celtic jersey but did send in some dangerous deliveries and played the simple passes well. 7

Scott Brown: Nothing flashy about Brown's showing this afternoon. Dug deep and kept himself out of the limelight as he does so often, while also putting in a strong shift, winning possession back in the midfield and kick-starting a number of forward moves. 6

Callum McGregor: Given freedom to roam forward thanks to Brown and Olivier Ntcham sitting slightly deeper in the engine room. Was rewarded with a goal - perhaps the easiest he'll ever score - but did well going forward and comfortable on the ball. 8

Olivier Ntcham: Kept his place after the Aberdeen win and was as composed as ever. Had a couple of shots on goal from distance and linked up well between defence and attack. 6

Odsonne Edouard: Further proof that the Frenchman is Celtic's main man. Wasn't provided much service from teammates in front of goal but still managed to be the match-winner with two vital assists. Subbed with five minutes to play with Rangers in mind. 7

Mikey Johnston: Winger didn't have much time to set heather alight but still looked bright whenever given the ball. 4

Leigh Griffiths: On for final minutes as Celtic saw the game out. 2
