Kieran Tierney is back participating in fitness sessions at Arsenal after surgery on his dislocated shoulder. The left-back picked up the injury back in December against West Ham and has not been in action since.

The club recently confirmed he would need an operation to fix his issue and they've now added that the surgery was a success. And the Gunners have now revealed KT has been in light training as he bids to return soon.

Updating fans on their official website, the club wrote: "Right shoulder. Dislocated right shoulder during West Ham Utd 9 December. Successful surgery completed. Good progress being made in rehabilitation process with participation in regular outdoor fitness sessions. Aiming to return to full training in March."

Tierney joined the London outfit for a record £25million transfer back in August but has only managed 11 appearances since the move. A groin injury delayed his comeback after an initial hernia operation had kept him out for the beginning of the season.

He made his debut at home to Nottingham Forest. Scotland boss Steve Clarke has also been left sweating over Tierney's fitness ahead of the Nations League playoff against Israel at Hampden in March.

Tierney could miss out as Arsenal have already confirmed he is only expected to return to full training in two months' time.
