Rangers fans have reacted with trepidation for their last-16 clash in the Europa League after being drawn with German giants Bayer Leverkusen.

Gers had been hoping for a slightly more palatable draw at this afternoon's event in Nyon. However former Liverpool midfielder Didi Hamann handed the Glasgow side a tough fixture.

Supporters admitted they would have preferred a more winnable match-up. One said: "That's the whole thing knackered," as another added: "Good while it lasted."

Another wrote: "That was the practice run, go again!" A fourth commented: "F*** sake... oh well."

Others, while accepting it is a hard ask, said they have confidence in their club to make it through to the quarter-finals.

One commented: "We fear no foe," and a second wrote: "Only a few teams could have been harder, but bring it on."

One fan said: "Tough draw but definitely not the hardest tie," and another added: "Oooof jesus lol. Not the best BUT imagine the f***ing scenes if we win."

The first-leg will be played at Ibrox on March 12 while the BayArena will host the second 90 minutes one week later.
